Medical & coaching disclaimer
Read this before you book, browse, or apply. We want you to get the right kind of help at the right time.
Parent coaching is not therapy
Parent HQ offers parent coaching, education, and community support for challenging behavior and big feelings. Coaching helps you understand what is driving behavior and build a plan that works for your family.
Coaching is not psychotherapy, mental health treatment, diagnosis, medical care, or clinical intervention. It does not create a therapist–client, doctor–patient, or clinician–client relationship, even though Parent HQ is led by a licensed clinical social worker.
Please see a licensed professional, too
We strongly encourage every family to stay connected with appropriate licensed professionals — such as a pediatrician, child psychologist, psychiatrist, therapist, social worker, school counselor, or other qualified provider — alongside any parent coaching services.
Coaching can be a powerful complement to therapy or medical care, but it is not a replacement. If your child has a diagnosed condition, is in active treatment, or you are unsure whether coaching is the right fit, please talk with your licensed provider first.
Not for emergencies or crises
Parent HQ is not an emergency, crisis, or 24-hour service. If you or your child are in danger, experiencing a mental health crisis, or need immediate help, call 911, go to the nearest emergency room, or call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline in the U.S.).
No guaranteed outcomes
Every child and family is different. We share strategies grounded in clinical training and experience, but we do not promise any specific behavior change, diagnosis, treatment outcome, or timeline. You are responsible for the decisions you make about your family’s care.
Mandated reporting
As a licensed clinical social worker, Cheyenne Lofthouse-Wolf is a mandated reporter. If information shared through coaching or community spaces indicates abuse, neglect, or a serious risk of harm to a child, elder, dependent adult, or another person, we may be legally required to report it to the appropriate authorities.
