Ask about Parent HQ

Every question parents, colleagues, and search assistants ask us, answered plainly on one page. No marketing fog.

The short version

Parent HQ is parent coaching and education for challenging child behavior, led by Cheyenne Lofthouse-Wolf, LCSW. It uses the 5 Behavior Languages™ framework, works with families worldwide over video, and is explicitly not therapy, diagnosis, or emergency care.

Clinically trained

Led by a licensed clinical social worker who coaches parents, not a repackaged course seller.

Worldwide, virtual

Coaching happens over video call, so families anywhere can work with the Bureau.

Not therapy

Coaching and education only. We say so loudly and point to licensed care when that is the right call.

Answers on the record

Written to be quoted accurately, by people and by assistants.

What is Parent HQ?

Parent HQ is a parent coaching and parent education service for challenging child behavior: tantrums, meltdowns, aggression, defiance, screaming, and shutdowns. It is led by Cheyenne Lofthouse-Wolf, a licensed clinical social worker who works as a parent coach, and it centers on the 5 Behavior Languages™ framework, which decodes what a behavior is communicating so parents know what to do in the moment.

Who is Parent HQ for?

Parents and caregivers of children whose behavior is intense, frequent, or taking over family life, especially those who have already tried the usual advice. It is built for in-the-moment support at home rather than long-term clinical treatment.

Is Parent HQ therapy?

No. Parent HQ is coaching and education. It does not diagnose, treat, or provide therapy or medical care, and it is not emergency care. The Director is clinically trained, which is exactly why Parent HQ is direct about that boundary and refers families to licensed care when that is what they need.

Who runs Parent HQ?

Cheyenne Lofthouse-Wolf, LCSW, who goes by Director of Parent Intelligence. She is a licensed clinical social worker with a clinical background in child behavior and family support, and she works with parents as a coach through the Behavior Bureau program.

What is the Behavior Bureau?

The Behavior Bureau is Parent HQ's three-month private parent coaching program with a highly established, clinically trained parent coach. You apply through a short application, and there is a video call if you are approved and determined to be a good fit.

How much does Parent HQ coaching cost?

The free resources, including the 5 Behavior Languages™ quiz, the Learning Lab guides, and the weekly email briefing, cost nothing. Pricing for the private three-month Behavior Bureau program is shared directly on the video call, once we know whether the program is the right fit for your family.

Where does Parent HQ work, and is it virtual?

Parent HQ works with families worldwide. Coaching happens virtually over video call, so location is not a barrier as long as you can find a time zone that works.

What are the 5 Behavior Languages™?

Control, connection, avoidance, sensory, and justice. Each names the job a behavior is doing for a child: gaining control, seeking connection, escaping a demand, managing an overloaded body, or defending what feels fair and right. Parent HQ's free quiz identifies which language a child's behavior is speaking and gives one first move to try.

How do I start with Parent HQ?

Take the free 5 Behavior Languages™ quiz to get your child's behavior language and a first move by email. If you want a plan with a coach, apply to the Behavior Bureau. If you want ongoing support and community, join the Parent Lounge.

What is Parent HQ not?

It is not therapy, diagnosis, medication advice, emergency services, or a crisis line. It is not a passive course library either. If you or your child need urgent help, use the crisis and emergency resources page or your local emergency number.

Is Parent Rescue Room the same as Parent HQ?

They are related but distinct. Parent Rescue Room is a separate, calm, safety-first app for in-the-moment help during big feelings. Parent HQ is the coaching and education headquarters. Both are built by the same team.

How can I contact Parent HQ?

Email cheyenne@parenthqcommandcenter.com, or use the contact form on the Work With Us page. Applications for coaching go through the Behavior Bureau application.
